Bamboo Drift Racing http://www.dyscario.com/travel-and-places/bamboo-drift-racing.html http://www.dyscario.com/travel-and-places/bamboo-drift-racing.html Bamboo-Drift-Racing

Bamboo drifting was originated about 100 years ago and later became popular pasttime among people of ethnic minorities in Southwest China's Guizhou Province. Guizhou's high mountains and deep valleys maintained a constant state of flooding, and made traveling in and out of the area difficult. Local people overcame the problem by chopping down bamboo logs and drifting along on them down the river. Upon reaching the bazaar on the lower reaches of the Wujiang River, they would sell their bamboo conveyance. The practice survives to this day.

Imperial China, in the nineteenth century was in a state of decay. Accompanied and partly responsible for the deterioration of a once powerful empire was the increasing pressure from the West and later from Japan. The Chinese had been badly beaten in the Opium wars with Britain (concluded in 1842) and were forced to open Chinese ports to foreign trade and residents. The Manchu dynasty, already ravaged by domestic rebellion, found itself powerless to resist further demands from Western Powers and between 1856 to 1898, a network of foreign control over the entire Chinese economy had been established.

Amazing Bioluminescent Lake in Australia http://www.dyscario.com/travel-and-places/amazing-bioluminescent-lake-in-australia.html http://www.dyscario.com/travel-and-places/amazing-bioluminescent-lake-in-australia.html Bioluminescent-Lake-in-AustraliaIn the Gippsland Lakes in Australia bioluminescence is a very unique, beautiful, and rare phenomenon that results from a chain of events such as flash floods, storms, and bushfires that triggers a population explosion of one particular type of algae.

Photographer Phil Hart, 34, snapped the bizarre sight as his friends emerged from a lake in the dark of night. The spooky light is created by a chemical reaction called “bioluminescence”, which happens when tiny organisms in the water are disturbed.

It is very strange to observe and might make the observer think that were being invaded by another extraterrestrial species.

Beautiful Natural Features of Earth Photographed by Simon Chirsten http://www.dyscario.com/travel-and-places/beautiful-natural-features-of-earth-photographed-by-simon-chirsten.html http://www.dyscario.com/travel-and-places/beautiful-natural-features-of-earth-photographed-by-simon-chirsten.html Earth-Photographed-by-Simon-ChirstenDespite the fact that we are struck every day with all those news about the global pollution and global warming, our planet is still the most beautiful planet in universe (scientists are trying to prove the opposite but they haven't found anything similar yet, and I believe they will never find something similar).
Our beloved planet is full of unexplored parts of nature. I am surprised how can I see something strange and unusual related to Earth's nature every day. It seems that there are hundreds of thousands amazing places on this planet.
If you would want to become a photographer and if you would ask me for advice about what to photograph, I would, without much thinking, recommend you a nature as a source for your inspiration.

Clean and Still Untouched Rivers and Their Springs by Marc Adamus http://www.dyscario.com/travel-and-places/clean-and-still-untouched-rivers-and-their-springs-by-marc-adamus.html http://www.dyscario.com/travel-and-places/clean-and-still-untouched-rivers-and-their-springs-by-marc-adamus.html Rivers-and-Their-Springs-by-Marc-AdamusWater is one of the most beautiful and most amazing gifts which were given to humans. When we think about the water, we cannot avoid the rivers. If you look back in humans' history, you'll see that rivers' shores were main places where people built their settlements. Rivers can be considered as some kind of source of life.
Unfortunately, with the fast development of urban settlements and industrial production, those river which once were the source of life can be rather considered as source of death and disease, in today's world. Still, there is a plenty of rivers which have remained untouched and clean by now. Since clean rivers have became a real attraction in these days when everyone talks about the pollution and shortage of drinking water, it seems that they have begun to be more and more interesting for photographers.
